Bio of Vernon Wanner
Vernon's career background encompasses product design, product marketing, engineering management, web design/development, search engine
optimization, and Internet marketing. His employment includes periods with Rockwell International (formerly Allen-Bradley), Johnson Controls, and Greenlee Textron. He
is currently self-employed as an Internet Consultant with First Webs, Inc. in Rockford, IL.
Vernon's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).
Vernon is a Certified Internet Webmaster, ECommerce Certified with Learning Tree International, and has been certified by Search Engine Workshops as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist.
Vernon's product design experience includes detail design of electro-mechanical controls, holemaking products, and power tools for HVAC and electrical
contractors. He has managed design projects from inception to production release and has managed engineering departments. His experience in product design includes the management
of patents, interface with legal counsel on product liability concerns, and has worked extensively with product marketing and field sales in the introduction on new products and maintenance of
existing products.
Vernons web design and Internet experience includes the design and launch of numerous small business web sites. His Internet marketing work
includes the development and set-up of web sites so that they can be more visible in search engines both locally and nationally.
Other disciplines that Vernon has experience in throughout his 30 plus year career include: graphics design, logos, and layout of promotional literature, product
research, Internet keyword research, business networking, and strategic planning.
