Volunteer to become a SCORE Business Counselor

We always need new volunteers to support our business counseling efforts. There are no dues and no costs to join. Our members are retired and semi-retired men and women professionals who have already achieved business successes and are sharing those experiences with others.

If you would enjoy sharing your experience and helping others to achieve success, then you may qualify to become a SCORE counselor. Come to a meeting and explore the possibilities.

We make your introduction easy. Before you are allowed to counsel clients you must complete a number of steps. You must attend two to three monthly Chapter meetings and you will be required to sit-in on a number of counseling sessions to observe our procedures.

After you've had a chance to feel comfortable with the organization and we mutually agree, you can decide to join us. You will be required to attend our "Counselor's Training" course and we will register you with the National organization and add you to a counseling schedule at the location you have chosen.

In addition to counseling, you may be asked to join one of our working committees or represent Score at outside events such as Chamber of Commerce lunches or events. A couple times a year you will also be invited to attend courses or additional member training activities. These activities help us stay current with business activities in our community and with the overall business world.

If you have any questions contact our Membership Chairman. Call Howard on 815-226-9766 or send email to hscscore@aol.com
