About SCORE Workshops

Workshops are designed to educate on topics that are major areas of concern for a new business, or for an existing business trying to expand.

SCORE teaches how to start your business, market your products or services, set up accounting practices, establish legal counseling, obtain bank financing, adopt technology, and more.

Workshops are presented by SCORE volunteers or business partners in cooperation with Rock Valley College, the Small Business Development Center, and EIGERlab

Workshop "Using Quickbooks"

This is workshop covers the importance of accounting for small businesses, reasonable expectations for your use of the program, the importance of keeping records.  These topics will be presented using the Quickbooks accounting package.

QuickBooks is a line of business accounting software developed and marketed by Intuit.

About the Presenter

Monica Glenny Small Monica B. Glenny

Monica has been the President of Rockford DataCraft since 1994.  Monica is primarily responsible for the general management of the firm. She oversees high-level project execution, marketing, finance and staffing functions.

Monica earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Northern Illinois University in 1984. She is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. She belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Management Accountants-Northern Chapter and Illinois Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Monica was instrumental in the evolution of DataCraft to a provider of integrated accounting and computer/ software services. Her understanding of business processes for small and medium-size companies in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin were critical to the development of DataCraft's Business Clarity service.
