Seminar "Social Media Marketing Made Simple"

This workshop will consist of a walk-through of how to set up your business page or organization page on 3 popular social media sites, and the popular video sharing site YouTube.

This workshop is facilitated by Vernon Wanner of First Webs, Inc. and hosted by Northern Illinois SCORE.  Vernon is an Internet Marketing Consultant with First Webs, Inc. and a SCORE business counselor.

• The steps necessary to set up and activate your LinkedIn company or organization page;
• Pros and cons - the differences between a Twitter personal presence and a Twitter business presence
• The steps necessary to set up a Twitter business page;
• Customizing your Twitter presence to your company brand;
• Facebook personal pages vs. Facebook Fan pages vs. Facebook "Like" pages;
• The steps necessary to set up a Facebook business page;
• What a YouTube channel is;
• Setting up your YouTube company or organization channel;
• Tips on integrating YouTube with Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

The great majority of the content of this workshop will focus on the "how to steps".  We will walk through the processes step-by-step for each social media site and for YouTube.  The workshop slides will be available to download from the SCORE site after the workshop.
